We work with new photographers ALL of the time! We will always reach out to your photography team, DJ, and venue coordinator before the wedding day to make sure they know we are coming and ask if there’s anything we need to know about how they like to work. Additionally, communication on the wedding day is our utmost priority! We’ll always meet with your photography team before any large events to make sure we both understand where we’ll be so we’re not crashing into each other.

When's the best time to book?
We book on a first-come-first-serve basis. This means you can book as early or as late as you’d like! Do keep in mind that we typically book every day of every weekend each spring and fall. So, plan accordingly and don’t wait to book especially if you have a popular date!
Are you properly insured?
Yes! We have all the necessary permits, licenses, and insurance to do professional work at your venue. If your venue requires to be added as an additional insured, please don’t hesitate to reach out and we can easily provide that documentation.

What is a video memory book?
Our video memory book allows you to share your wedding video in the most unique way possible! This awesome book is a wedding album with an embedded video player that plays your wedding video on demand upon opening the book.

What is raw footage?
In short, raw footage is the unprocessed, unedited, individual video clips that come straight from all 3 of our cameras. Think of these clips as the “puzzle pieces” to the videos that will be delivered. We’ll hold onto your raw footage for up to 12 months after your wedding so this is something you can always add on after the wedding as well!

When will I get to see my wedding videos?
In order for us to have enough time to make the magic happen and create the absolute best wedding film for you, the standard turnaround time is 12 weeks from the date of your wedding.
Can I make changes to my videos after delivery?
Absolutely! All of our packages come with 1 round of revisions for each of the videos delivered. Do note that revisions may take up to 30 days to complete after sending in the revisions request.
Is there a travel fee?
No travel fee in most of Northern California! If your wedding is somewhere rural and quite a distance from any large city, please check in with the team about a travel fee.
Are there any other fees associated with booking?
We don’t believe in sneaky fees! What you see is what you get! No additional tax or fees at the time of booking. Everything will be included in your package price.
Do we have a say on the music used in our highlight video?
Yes! Although our team is only allowed to use copyright-free music, you still are able to have input into which copyright-free song(s) we use in your highlight video. On your “follow-up call” with your wedding day of videographer, you will be able to chat about what mood/style you’d prefer for your wedding video. This will allow us to accurately choose a song or pair of songs just right for you.
What is your payment structure?
Our payment structure is actually quite unique! Only 1/3 of the total package price is due upfront to lock us in. The remaining 2/3 of your balance won’t be due until we are ready with your videos – typically 8 weeks after your wedding date.
How do you record audio throughout the day?
We will always use 2 sources of audio throughout the wedding day. For example, during the ceremony, we’ll record the audio by plugging a recorder directly into the DJ’s soundboard. Second, we place a clip-on mic on the groom and the officiant to capture the audio for the groom, bride, and the officiant. Don’t worry you won’t have any wires showing, it’s discreet. It also won’t interfere with any signals coming from your DJ!
What's the story behind the name "The Uncommon Weddings"?
We started The Uncommon Weddings with one mission in mind – to provide an experience so “out-of-this-world” for our couples they’d look back on their wedding experience with us and say, “Wow, that was different”. We intentionally make an effort for all of our couples to feel like our closest friends and family. Before, on, and after their wedding day, our couples are treated with love and attention at a standard that is far Uncommon in our industry.
